IRS shoots Bunnies
Crusty old (ahem TS means, evergreen) rock band, Echo & The Bunnymen will not "Bring On The Dancing Horses" this month in the USA because of "unreasonable demands" from the IRS, they say.
Yes Bunnies, as one of their songs states "People Are Strange" (especially the American taxman), and will demand extra money if a foreign band wants to tour more than once in a 30-day period.
The band was scheduled to start their eight-city tour in Atlanta on 15 November to promote the release of their new album "The Fountain".
However, they were barred from entering the USA because they had already played a show in New York last month. Bummer.
Fortunately, The Bunnymen will be touring the USA from East to West Coast in April 2010, presumably having factored in the correct amount of tax this time round.
It seems the Bunnies have learnt the hard way - "Do It Clean", or you won't be able to do it at all.

You're an accounting blog - so get your fact straight - actually, thy we're bared from the us, the IRS requested 30% withholding on their earnings, which the band's pr firm announced was too much to withhold to make the tour worthwhile.
